Kalashnikov ISTU now is in the list of the best universities of the country according to ARES. Based on the Academic ranking of higher educational institutions (Academic Ranking of World Universities – European Standard) in the end of 2014, Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University was moved to position "BB+", and got 51^st place among Russian universities. 100 Russian higher educational institutions participated in the ranking.
